The Minister of the Environment recently published new planning policy proposals for consultation.  The proposals affect all local communities who are in favour of good development which meets local needs and against apartment and other proposals when they are bad for the environment, character and stability of their areas.  The proposals are called ''Addendum to Planning Policy Statement 7 - Safeguarding the Character of Established Residential Areas''  - click here to download a copy.
