Developing Women in the Community – Learning about PB

Community Places had the pleasure of working with over 60 participants from the Department for Communities ‘Developing Women in the Community’ Programme at St Comgall’s Community Hub in Belfast on 30 January 2024. The workshop was an opportunity to learn about participatory budgeting (PB), share local and international good practice, exchange experiences and discuss how the PB Charter which supports quality PB could be applied to PB processes within the community. There was great interest from participants who are keen to see more PB happening across the region. Thanks to all who attended and for the rich discussion and thoughtful questions and comments which were shared.
