Top three tips from the organisers

1. Test something new. There were contrasting approaches to Phase 1 and 2 of ‘Move more and Eat Well to Feel Better’ PB processes.  An ‘in-room’ market stall voting experience was adopted for phase 1, and an ‘online’ voting experience was preferred in phase 2.  This enabled the design team to experience different approaches and see first-hand the strengths and weaknesses of both.

2. Support participation and inclusion from the outset by ensuring there is a short and easy application process

3. Ensure there is sufficient time to promote your PB process.  The Phase 2 process was launched during the Phase 1 Celebration Event.  This reinforced the theme and promoted the subsequent Phase 2 PB process.
